A little bit more about me
Translation wasn't my first calling, but it found me!
Looking back… Way before streaming platforms were a thing, I first became immersed in the English language watching the hit series Lost in original version in 2004.
Following several trips to the UK in my teenage years, I finally made the move to London after finishing my degree in Journalism in Madrid.
Leaping into the professional world
I've combined my two passions: languages and communication.
It was working in communications and events management when I started translating wedding and travel materials into Spanish. And once I discovered the audiovisual translation world, I didn’t look back!
Since receiving professional training in subtitling, I’ve tackled different projects including translating corporate videos and entertainment content. I can happily say it’s allowed me to merge my two greatest passions: languages and media.
My favourite thing? Translating cultural references, humour, slang and idiomatic expressions from English into Spanish in a way that flows naturally.
Away from the computer…
It's not all work 😉
You’ll find me going for a bike ride, playing electric guitar or catching the latest film release.
I also speak Italian and French fluently and I’m currently learning Japanese (yes, I like challenges!).
I'm a professional member of ATRAE, the Spanish Audiovisual Translation and Adaptation Association.
